Has anyone modified the motor mount? The range is limited and you have to put the pinion on after you mount the motor. So I'm asking if any has made changes if so, can you share pictures of the changes...

Hey gang, I've been thinking about getting one of these cars. How are they on carpet?

All I have been running is carpet. And I can say that I am very happy. I posted a setup a few pages back if that will help.

With 64 pitch I can fit a 37 tooth gear through. Otherwise, I use a small pair of nidlenose pliers to help with the pinion.

I have a Vector 13.5 on order and just received my LRP Sphere ESC. I would like to know what gearing combination keeps the motor somewhat central in the mount slot. Running 48P but am considering 64P as well. I guess I prefer to keep 48P since my XXX-T's run the same pinion. Also what final ratio with a 13.5 are we shooting for on a smaller track like SIR?? I heard in the 5.xx range. Brent...anyone?

51, any word on what went wrong in qualifying at the Euros?
The AE drivers qualification results seem rather dissapointing.

Fatbear,

I do not know much about all the struggles or exactly what happened and maybe Brent has heard some stories, but I can tell you that Craig Drescher was in heat 10 and Christer was in heat 12, Juho I can't remember but the other teams were not only bigger in size but placed in better heats by the organizers. Most of the guys in the A main came from heat 14 or 15. They did not appear to resort at all either.

I haven't been able to get in contact with them during the race. From what I was told earlier, this track has an extremely strange surface and it's difficult to find a balanced setup. I'll just have to wait and here what they have to say.

I do know I don't like the new qualifying style...unless they allowed new tires each run...which I don't see them doing. To have competitors sit out dry conditions to save their new tires is just ridiculous.

ran my car yesterday and crashed a couple of times and guess what.................it drove off like nothing happened. Didn't have everything I needed for the first time out but WOW.....I can't wait to run the car again and I went right out (today) and purchased a B4. AE has some great products and I really enjoyed testing with the car yesterday. Every change could be felt. Playing with droop and front end adjustments were what I did yesterday. Hopefully I can get my hands on an ITF chassis and top deck before the next race on the 18th. Anyone know where I can get my hands on one? The car is light too. So I can add weight where I want it to bring it up to the roar limit.
