Yesterday evening the first race. I didn’t yet have the softer springs I ordered nor the anti-roll bar in the front, so the car was still heavily oversteered under power. But, I still had a blast slipping and sliding about and managed 8th out of 11. Can you imagine how bad the other three guys drove…

There is certainly room for improvement in the grip / handling area. The springs and anti-roll bar as mentioned, but I have found two other issues. One is the ball joints at the lower end of the dampers are way too tight. The rest of all ball joints were fairly tight during the build but have loosened up a bit, so they are OK. But these specific ones are still way too tight and hinder fluent motion. I tried to squeeze them with a pair of pliers to loosen them, but that didn’t work. Is there an upgrade ball joint? I like the Tamiya Fluo coated ones, but those are 5mm and I believe the BSR ones are 5,5.
Besides that I noticed one of the dampers is not moving freely, it feels like the piston binds. After measuring I found that specific piston is not nice and round, and leaves to much free movement to the piston / rod assembly. This can then bind on the wall of the cylinder. Are there upgrade pistons available? Or should I order a set of stock ones, is my off-spec one a freak accident?

Would someone be so kind as to use a pair of calipers and measure the diameter of the balls on the lower suspension arms, the ones that you fit the sway bar joints to? My car is still at the club and I want to order the final parts to put the sway bars in action.

Actual size is 4.9mm so it would be consider to be a 5mm ball stud.

I bought this set, which is for a different car:

And the swaybars and sway bar mount TU1040. It will all probably fit, although I don't know if it will fit the 4,9mm balls on the lower suspension arms. Worst case I need to buy separate connectors for that. But the rest of the set is certainly usable and there is another advantage for me; the set is in the EU warehouse, just like the sway bars them selves. And since the next race is coming Tuesday, I have a better chance of receiving the bits this week then when ordering them from China.

Yes the will probably work but as a reminder that the front sway bars is shorter than the rear on this car.

Thanks. I knew I'd seen this somewhere. Last gearing change worked, but not as expected. I see why now.

The belt pulleys on the sides of the spur gear. Anyone found a aluminum replacement? I'm starting to see wear on mine

I absolutely enjoy driving this car, only change I have made out of the box is swapping to 64 pitch gears, putting on the "hard" c hubs and putting the aluminum upgrades from team c racing on.

They are well assembled from factory. I've been racing my 21.5 RTR version all summer. No issues. And my 13.5 model has been problem free, not raced.
