Personally, I have little experience with the std shock setup (bar building them with 4x1.1 and 450oils)... but with the PSS, I prefer either 500 or 550 oil, with the foam in the top. Find the foam helps to increase the pack a smidge, which is good with the softer initial of the progressive feel.
Oh, and thats with 2.7's all round, outdoor low-med asphalt.

Not entirely. I've been running my topdeck raised on anything from low to super high grip. My home track usually gets extremely sticky, to where your shoes stick to the track and your shoes leave black marks on the tile around the track when you're done marshalling. I like the Avid 1.5 Hard TD raised 1mm w/ the motor mount post no matter how high the grip gets. This makes the car smoother and less likely to tip or traction roll, although it can cause the car to be a little too stuck. I've also determined that I like a lot more flex than anyone else in my area. I've run both the 15 and 16 with the TD down, more screws, less screws, hard TD and soft TDs and I always return to the same thing.

The 1 time I ran 21.5 I ran a 94/49 which is a 3.64. This was on an open layout on an 80x36 high bite carpet track. My notes say normal gear is 3.4-3.7 for 21.5. I don't recall where my timing was set though. This was with a Motiv M-Code.
