The only problem that I have with them is its just a little bit of a PITA to change tape. Love the idea but watched a buddy argue with his other brand car this weekend with a similar method.

Had a good race weekend last weekend in the state series we have going on here. Had some rough qualifiers (just dumb mistakes on my part), but finally got everything sorted for the main. Qualified 5th, and finished 3rd about 4 seconds behind 1st. Was really happy with that result, some super fast guys in this series. Thanks to Rob for some setup help. This is where I ended up for the main on the car (RCTech says file is too large for the standard upload). Far from the kit setup now. Setup sheet below:

Track picture reference, large 1/8th style track. Was really cool to be able to run at a track this size. Loads of fun!

any noticeable/big difference in terms of performance between the '15 and '16?
the narrower chassis and extra roll center for the ARS?
Thinking of buying the top and lower deck for an upgrade (I already got the xray ECS installed in my '15).

the 15 and the 16 are the same width. If you use the ARS system then you just need the left (303713) and right (303712) suspension holders. Since I race 17.5 I don't think the top deck will work for me since I have to remove the top deck to change pinions.

Chassis Question
I have an xray t4 2013 converted to a t4 2014 with the rsd conversion. I am wanting to switch to an aluminum chassis or at least purchase one to run for a little bit to see if I like it better. I am wondering if anyone knows if the new avid rc aluminum chassis for the t4 15/16 will work. looking at the pictures it looks as though it will however I don't want to drop $75 plus shipping to find out that it doesn't.

I ran a 14 car with a 15 aluminum and carbon chassis with success, but Ethan is right. You will need the 15 motor mount and little "T" shaped accompanying piece as well as the aluminum servo mount and the CF top piece for the servo mount. Everything else will bolt up. For the 16 you will again need a new motor mount and "T" piece from a 16 to work with the 16 AVID chassis. LMK if you have any other questions.

As far as "raising" the top deck is concerned, I haven't heard anyone around here doing that...

Hey guys,
Just about to build my t4 16 with the progressive shock inserts. Given the same track conditions (medium grip, asphalt), do you guys build them as per standard ie same weight oil and springs as you would with the standard shocks. Or do you guys build them differently with different weight oil and springs for the same track conditions.
