Wow ran these speedos in canada in 1/12 scale 17.5 and 10.5 boosted... Holy rocketships!

Sweet got my VX1 today. Mod 12th scale here I come. If its anything like the standard VX it will be money.

The ORCA has been dialed. Definitely nice not have a need for a booster or receiver pack. All of the same adjustments as its big brother. MD approved!

how does it do in modified ? does it still do good without a rec pack?

As far as I know it does. I know Hardman is running his in Mod with no receiver pack. I am pretty sure Alex is as well. I know he's tried with and without a receiver pack to see if there is a difference. Only thing he noticed was servo speed from what I can remember. But since we all run with negative expo anyway it wasnt enough to warrant running the receiver pack.

Jeff,

At our last club race running a 4.0 without RX battery it felt great. As EA has mentioned the volts are a little lower then say a LiFe pack. Went from 5% to 0 on the expo and it was fine. It also worked flawlessly all last weekend running 10.5 boosted in Victoria, BC.

installed my vx and set it up last night....could not believe how easy it was to calibrate and adjust....did a quick bench test...the thing is so smooth and powerful....cant wait to try it in anger

Yeah best part, turn on radio and hold full brake, turn on car, blinks, full throttle, blinks, neutral, blinks, done.. Apparently that was a pretty tricky thing to accomplish

tricky for who??? to program it that way?? unless your blind or deaf its the easiest calibration ive ever had to do
