There's no such thing as a capacity over charge on lipos.... His voltage is good, Like stated MAH is not an exact science and likely just taking more than advertised or got a battery with a different...

I wouldn't want any open flame near nitro, why not a cheap heat gun from Harbor Freight or a $40~ electric motor heater, either shouldn't be much more than a flame thrower and yet way safer.

I have no had great luck with Castle products.. could be something with the timing sensor either on the motor or speedo... Maybe see if you can try a different motor at your local track to rule out...

Dont go MBX5, its way dated and parts supply is harsh. Really need at least a 6. Even the MBX7's go for about $200/250 used here. Like others have said, look for a roller or a SMOKING deal with parts...
