Yeah, the silver springs are softer than the gold stock ones. The black ones are the hardest in the set.

Yeah bro, i got the ABC one too and it sticks out like you mention. From the pics on the web, the TRG one looks to be a bit shorter and tucks in beneath the wing. The ABC one looks kinda weird...

Yeah, I had another look at the manual but couldn't find anything on it. What I have been doing is to disconnect the batt once it reaches 8.4v and the charge rate slows down. Is that ok ?
