I've look at old posts with no luck? I saw the DNC David Ronnefalk gearing was 48/16 that's to low of a pinion for mod 1.

In 4 gear yes the rotation is the same as the motor. But the 4th gear softens up the throttle under power over the 3 gear. I don't just read I have 100's of hours on carpet with the lap counter...

This depends on how much traction there is? On high bite carpet 4 gear is better. 3 gear will pull wheelies when you get on it hard. Also 4 gear lets you carry more speed on high speed sweepers.
