Pic of #TD320269
Looks like we(RM) are gonna be able to get the tranny out a lot easier

I agree on the set up stuff..but in 17.5 it seems like it's not quite as fast as some of the other platforms..but I still have a few things I haven't tried..I won the winter series in 13.5 with mine so I'm not giving up yet..

Default chassis

Has anybody switched from a stock aluminum chassis to the new composite plus 8 chassis. I am just curious if there is any major differences in handling. I run on a medium size indoor dirt track. (50 x 60 in size approx). Any information would be helpful.

Is there any other body that fits the DIMEC +8 chassis other than the Durango cab forward?

J Concepts and Proline both make a cab forward body for the 210.

Will they fit the DIMEC chassis? The +8 does not worry me but the side pods are shaped differently on the DIMEC.

They fit, not perfectly though, especially if you have already cut it for the std length chassis, it will come up short in the back and you'll have to make new body post holes. If your going to replace a body just need to cut the body long outside the lines and fine tune. I have been running a Td +8 body lately, and of course it fits the RTR chassis the best, but I have also ran it on a +8 aluminum chassis and its decent, and usually things like that bother me..
I did some testing my a blinky set-up with the dimec20 chassis, and made some good progress.

Installed my shaved trans/diff case and LRC blocks on mine and got to take run it on the track yesterday.

It made a noticeable difference on how well the rear would plant and now I am going to try some other settings to get a bit of push out of the front end. Trying #2 inserts and 25 (0*) degree casters today and will go from there.

My son is putting his kit together and noticed the kit comes with a 87t spur gear. I believe the DEX 210 has the same internal ratio as the B4.2 and I run 72/75 for 17.5. Living in UT, I'm having to order these spurs but the available spurs TD/RDRP are somewhat on the high side. I bought another kit that came with the Avid top shaft. My question is would it be easier to just buy an Avid Triad so I can run spurs that are available?

That's an option. You can also buy a kit that allows you to run Associated spur gears.
