I didn't see anything about this low grip configuration in the manual, but I suppose the shorty would be in transversal with motor mount just in front of the shorty.

I know at least two guys that use it since one and a half year in mod, with 6.5 to 4.5, without any problem.
Just watch the temp while trying different gearing and boost/turbo settings.
