So maybe one of you guys can answer this for me, I have a cuda body that I'd like to paint but cannot find any pics of actual cars other than #42 and #43 of the Gurney team. Were any other cuda's run under another #/paint scheme? I hate that dark blue as we run outside at night and I just cannot see a dark car that well

Thanks
Chris

Here is a photo of the Sox & Martin drag car. While not raced in Trans Am, it is a car raced in the same era.

Apparently a Gurney AAR car ended up in France (after racing in the US?).
I've posted some info on this car a few posts below.

There were some other 'Cudas raced in France in the early 70's. Here is some inf0 - http://www.hemicuda-france.com/2008/...th-hemi-c.html and photos

Another photo in blue & white

The 2 paint schemes above might actually look good on the Parma '70 'Cuda.

But the Gurney cars never had Shaker hoods. The pictures are cool though

Check out the Historic Trans-Am site. Many, many photos of all sorts of livery. For the most part, the 60s and early 70s were a "simpler time" when it comes to paint.

I hate posting bad info, so I did some additional research this morning. I don't think the red car I posted above was a Gurney Trans-Am car (All American Racers - http://www.allamericanracers.com/hist.html)

I found this Cuda racing site (with photos) that shows the #48 car painted red and white with the correct hood - http://www.transamcuda.com/gallery/t...lbum=46&page=3

I think black and blue was a common driver livery for the period.

Just a couple of pics of my VTA Mustang and a 57 chevy Vintage Oval car. Great to be back with VTA !!! The Mustang I painted and the 57 was done by PJ Sines (pejota). Thats all paintwork on that car...no decals.
