to get this to go fast
Id use a KOSMIK 300 HV
a posiden motor 1527 on 8 cells.
30 tooth pinion .comes with a 27 and a 34 tooth spur .mod 1
2 -4 cell lihv smc.
and a decent gps to show of the speed..
I be a speed runner and got no problem passing stuff on .. have fun I always do.
I run this same motor esc combo in my 2 1/6 scales that Go go go.. youll need to run and wait to cool down..

still being tested, depends on if you want to run dual trays still or a single tray. that option is important to picking a motor.

It will be easier to provide input on power system once vehicle actually releases.

Everything might already be known about these since so many youtubers got them early though, I'm not in any arrma groups so I'm not sure

Hobbywing esc don't tend to do well with high speed. Lots of guys tried and they just burn up... or cut out. They can't handle the longer current pulls of speed running. They seem ok for drag guys but not speed running... If you don't already have the max6 I'd get a MM2 or just go for an XLX if you want 8 cells. I know a guy who ran mid 130's in a typhon on 6s with a mm2 and either the killmode 2700kv or a normal 4070 TP. So plenty fast even on 6s with an mm2. I think Phil ran 137 with a MM2 and a TP motor... looked like a 4070?

I think the secretive aspect to gearing is that they want people to earn it. Try different gearing and figure out what works for you. I've had people tell me their gearing and what mph they ran and when I tried I wasn't close... I've always heard the gearing can depend on the person and how you pull the trigger so even if you got gearing from someone that may not make you fast.

Man this thing would be cool to pick up

Roller price seems fairly decent, I was surprised it wasn't higher

Reviving this thread for my own personal benefit

I've decided that I am going to buy an Arrma Limitless this winter

I plan on using it as a drag racer mainly, but will bash/speed it around the parking lot from time to time

Suggestions on a motor and ESC?

Figured I'd share cause i thought these are neat. Some kid on Facebook is selling printed chassis guards to help with aero underneath the chassis.

Works on limitless and infraction.

it's like chassis was made for them, I'm surprised arrma doesn't sell any.

If you're into bigger diameter motors the m3 mount is very nice!

depends on your definition of 1/5 motor i think. This is TP5850, a longer motor would certainly fit
