i've tried a LRP p/s in a IDM, no issues encountered so far.

which LRP spec did you used? mine's the LRP spec3 p/s fitted to the IDM evo3...with 0.5 total shims for 25%.

from what i know only LRP spec3 and spec4 is similar to IDM evo3.

Just for some info the piston/sleeve set for the IDM is the same part number for the EVO3 and the EVO4 I would assume that the only difference is that the modifications are not the same if there are any on the LRP.I have not seen one. Also there is a difference in the piston/sleeve sets between the EVO2 and EVO3 .21 engines that are labeled spec 2. They both will run but the Spec II piston/Sleeve is slightly different. Just some info.

so here is a list for the IDM brand
for the .12 EVO3,4 the same
for the .21 EVO2 and old NON SPECII EVO3 same
EVO3 .21 new part number

I do believe that the pipeset was discontinued. I have not ordered anything but the 2617 and the 2651 for the last orders placed. I think that we still have a few in stock. Get with Lee at Winners circle he may have one. Or can get it for you.

Default idm products

at the last race i ran the EVO 4 at the SOUTHWEST CHAMPIONSHIP series race and man was on fire. out of corners and still accelerating at the topend of the straight away. the 2607 is good and was impressed with the 2617. and so not to say anything more about the EVO 4 it speaks for it self. EVO 4 took 1st overall at the regionals. Thanks to Jerry at TeamXspower and IELASI DANIELE MOTORSPORTS

Default idm evo4

guys , first time for me with either picco or idm base motors. yesterday was it's maiden race. after breaking / running it like the manual 15-20 minutes ( took me only the second crank to get it going) . just a day b4 the race i started to tune it to racing pace. to be on the safe side it was still a bit richer. the track is a small one and technical with lots of tight corners.( the straight was around 140ft). anyway i feel very good since i really didn't want to lean it out too much. the bottom was good, and mid to top was out of this world
i paired it with the 2617, 16 % fuel, no 6 glowplug. also kept the standard head shim.
and the best thing of all is the runtime was more than 7 minutes. it was idling all day long too. can't wait to see how it goes in a larger track end of this month....

Default holding the tuning

hi guys..yesterday was the 2nd race with this idm evo4, i put in a new glow plug early in the morning before race start. so the first heat went well.
but the 2nd and 3rd heat was a blunder...it was acting wierd as if the tune was way off...but at the end of the day in the 20 minute main final it seems to hold the tune well except 2-3 minutes before the race ended i heard my second gear shifted a bit later. there's no issue with power and runtime but i was wonderin if this motor too sensitive to weather changes and cannot hold its tune.

That sounds about right, I have had a heck of a time getting my evo4 broken in. I have run nearly 2 gallons and the engine still sticks at TDC while cold. The tune doesn't drift much though, I can usually go out 2-3 days without moving the HSN more than an hour or two.
