Default Broken Cooling Fin

I picked up a used 8ight. The engine is a Jammin .28. One of the cooling fins is completely broken from the head. It just rattles around. Is there a way to reattach? Should I just try and remove it?

I would say no and no.

My JPX .28 did the same. I was lucky enough to find a new Picco head for $12.50

Are most heads interchangeable?

New heads cost more than the complete engines I've been picking up

Some are, some are not. So I wouldn't say most are interchangeable. Different brands coming from the same factory have a better chance of fitting. Example - JPX and Picco are basically the same.

There are after market heads that are made for some engines. Not too many, but a few.

Thanks for the offer.
Stay outta my posts Weaz unless you got something constructive to say!!!!

Fortunalety/Unfortunately, I have 2 grenaded rossi engines with heads. They appear to be shorter though. This Jammin head is tall.
I'll saw this sucker off and continue on. Just wanted to make sure this wasnt a serious issue.

You can use both the Picco P3 or .28 cooling heads on the Jammin engine, they are practically the same engine, you can find some good ones on Ebay for a good price then buying them from retail, the Jammin and Picco heads sell for $95.00 retail new so I would check the ebay.

R2- Do you know if the Jammin .21 would be the same bolt pattern or even same head? If so, I am 98% sure I have a couple dead mills buried in my garage, pending his confirmation I will offer the same as Houston, simply pay S/H of your choice.
