That's detonation. If it's an older motor that just started doing it, replace the rod. Newer motor, add a head shim or use less nitro.

Ok so I just got a killer 9 and was told it had 2 gallons through it, got it in the mail and felt great all the way through. Put it in my truggy and started running it leaned it out a little to much and got the temp to 270 shut it down right away and let it cool off. Now she has no pinch, is this typical of this engine or a fluke? I am thinking of sending it in to rb mods and have it modded anyone have any experience with them?

Default rb mt9

hey guys, looking to upgrade my savage xl engine, and came across a brand new rb mt9. i have been told its the same thing as the mt10 and mt11 but i know nothing about these engines.. is it anything compared to a picco 28 or lrp 30? i know its a .28 and i guess its a racing engine.. thats about it lol.. would this engine be a good choice for my savage xl? does anyone know anything about these engines? i cant seem to find much.. any info would be great

Any other manufacturer models that shared crankshaft design? This is a nice old engine and I hate to give up on it. Thanks for any help

I haven't seen a modern novarossi engine that's square stroke and 13mm.

Also the RB crank had that bi turbo crank that was exclusive to RB engines

Maybe the Novarossi Karma? I think that has a 13mm crank not sure if it's square stroke

Good luck

The last Novarossi made Ielasi had a square stroke 13mm crank.
I think your best choice is the used market to find some cheap used RB S5/S7/WS7 engines.
BrettL and nitro coffee like this.
