Default Shortcut

The driving directions on the flyer are easy to follow, but add about 10 miles (one way) from Portland.

Mapquest route will save at least 10 min. of driving:

Actually it's faster to go on the hwy, per the directions on the flyer.

Like I said, no racing yet, they still have to look into purchasing the AMb system. This is only for practice and people having fun for now.

They are planning to run both. However, I didn't see any ventilation fan in building.....yet.

Does the onroad track seem large enough for nitro sedan?

If you consider A-main as small for gas sedan, then yes this would be. It's a 60x60 track. I believe A-mains had an 80ft back straight.

I'm very excited. I just hope they have a quality offroad track. I am kinda sick of driving out to amain every weekend. But this will be nice since it is 3 minutes from my house.

went there tonight. The offroad track looks like it could be some fun I didnt get to drive but I took a bunch of pictures. There is a good chance that I will screw this up but I will try to post them.

My bad, it is only 4 miles difference, but with truck traffic on the farm roads ("shortcut") the driving time is pretty much the same using either route. The highway is easier to navigate, be sure to watch out for the speed Nazis as they like to set up Lazer traps between North Planes and hwy 6.

Both tracks look like a lot of fun, and have good surfaces to run on. The dirt is quite tacky at this point, but still loose enough for the tires to shoot roost.

What really impressive about this is that when we went over there this past Sunday, they did not have the wall up between the 2 tracks, didn't have the wood on the perimeter of the onroad track..... And they did it in like a day after we'd adviced them on those 2 items. Keep it mind too this operations is only done by husband and wife....no other helpers. They are really trying to cater to us racers! I'm impressive by their ambition!

I took the three hour trip from Tacoma to Red Frog on Saturday. Not tough to find if your navigator pays attention to the directions. The pavement track is very smooth but was in need of a bath after the work they have been doing. Lots of potential for that track. The off-road track has gobs of traction, and a neat, fun layout. Not too technical, so guys can race each other rather than fight for the " one line" to get around. And if you do go off line there is still traction. Car was clean when i was done with six packs of driving. The track isn't all clay, but a good mix that holds moisture without being wet, and clumpy. Doesn't fall apart either. Taper Pins were ok but Fuzzies are better. Ribs on front. Go try Red Frog and have a good time driving. Eat in Hillsboro before or take your lunch, not much close by that I know of, the owners would know better.
