Sorry if this was already discussed but I can't seem to find it in the thread - are there any rules for the size of the holes in the bodies?

Many tracks are using these rules from page 7 or 8 of this thread:

Body Rules
Must be a full body (GT, sedan etc no buggy, truck, suv bodies)
1. Body must be cut on the manufacturer line.
2. You may cut the rear of the body no higher than 1 1/8th” when sitting flat on a surface.
3. Side window may be cut open for fueling.
4. Front window may be cut, but no larger than 3”x3”.
5. Rear window may be cut out.
6. You may cut a hole for the glow plug ignitor.
7. Fueling access may be cut but may not connect with other holes.
8. Wing must be attached to the body and not the chassis.

If this is true, guess Spec class is going to change its rules...

Here is a link for you!

It is strange that Kyosho in Finland doesn't know anything about this, at least they are not telling

Probably in few weeks or months we will hear somthing more.

Mike,

The changes don't look like the IGT Spec class rules will be affected.

The slight change in chassis length may or may not provide any advantage on race tracks. Any changes in engine or 2 speed designs may be great upgrades to the earlier chassis.

Most of the IGT Spec class rules allow Kyosho optional up-grades, so what's the difference. I think some class rules thought of this already. I know the ones that I wrote last year did

Can't wait to drive the new car at Kraceway!

Description
The Next Generation Of Performance! The inferno has GT2 to his predecessor over a much longer wheelbase. This will be a calmer driving behaviour and a much more elegant appearance. Under the noble body there is a high-technology KYOSHO World Champion's car inferno. The GXR-28SG BIGBLOCK Xtreme Power engine has a SG-crankshaft and the GT2 gives a fascinating performance potential. The flywheel has been compared to the previous 10 mm to 34 mm in diameter reduced to the moving mass reduced. This is the response of the engine felt more agile. In addition, the GXR-28SG on a new, ergonomically shaped handles cable pull starter to a safe stop in hand. Wilde drifting, extreme acceleration and high top speed guarantee breathtaking driving experience on each route!

The GT2 chassis has a high double-disc brake and is on the typical closing rail use tuned. The permanent four-wheel drive guarantees the effective implementation of engine performance in advance. The tank has a capacity of 150 ml and allowing times for about 11 minutes. The tie rods are equipped with R / L-thread and come from the proven inferno U.S. sports.

The two-speed gearbox has a revised HiSpeed translation, to the performance of the GXR-28SG in maximum top speed. The clutch bell is made of hardened steel ball bearings. The Öldruckstoßdämpfer have a knurled nut with fine thread for setting the variable spring. The entire drive train with two differential gears, the 2-speed gearbox and the double-disc braking system is racing for extreme loads. he chassis of duraluminium is extremely verwindungssteif so that the vehicle only to the designated points works. The powertrain is complete with ball bearings, which are minimal wear and maximum performance.

The Inferno GT2 is ReadySet with the proven KYOSHO Perfex remote control system. The body is ready to cut, painted and with the decorative arch labels. Like a jewel sparkles the optics of the GT2 if he entsteigt from its packaging. Absolute highlight are the two chassis-mounted digital servos. These servos have set very high speeds while providing alternate power and a high stopping moment. Thus, KYOSHO in this class once a new trend, confirming the claim of the technology leader in this industry.

Joel Johnson told me about this at the Kyosho race in Kissimmee. He said it is based on the truggy chassis. Wow it looks good! I wonder if you could just get a chassis and transfer the parts from the GT?
