Repairing Foam tires....
Hey guys, I think I'm going to take a shot at repairing a foam tire I chunked this weekend.
I got everything I need to repair it(foam to replace the chunk, access to a tire truer, etc...).
What I need to know is what adhesive do I need to use to securely place the new piece of foam on the rim???
thanx

If you've rescued the part that chunked off in good shape, apply a coat of contact glue (¿shoe goo?) at both sides (tyre/rim) let dry for 3 or minutes and join the two parts. Let dry for 24 hours and true the tyre. If you use CA you let hard spots on the foam and make the handling and grip twitchy.

Contact cement? Thats what I thought, but I wanted to be sure.
I couldn't find the actual chunk that came out, but I am planning on cutting a clean spot into the sidewall(the place that got chunked), around the damaged area and using some foam from an old damaged tire of the same shore as the replacement piece.
I've heard that using this method, when you can't locate the original chunk, is just as good.
Thanks for the quick answer Corse-R

Yeah, contact glue or Evo Brown glue are best. Dont use CA as it will just cause that part of the tire to wear differently than the rest unbalancing the car.
