all i can say about the NT1 is that it is simply awesome. i bought the combo kit were you get the car engine and pipe. i havent raced nitro since i was a novice which was 6 years ago. i raced the NT1 for the first time with no practice this weekend, i went to the race with a car that i just broke in an engine in and had never driven on a track. after round 4 i qualified 8th in the A. this car is so easy to drive and work on i love it. i broke 0 parts all weekend. i cannot say enough good things about this car other than good job xray.

The previous post from boy2rc shows him running the s9451 as a throttle and brake servo...I thought that this servo was for steering...Correct me if I'm wrong....Can it be used for either???

Yah, in the beginning i always had a gap of 0.7 but it seems the clutch is easier with a smaller gap, which results in a easier car which results in beter driving (in my case :P)

i have not had a problem with my thrust bearing and im at about 1 gallon of fuel through the car.
another racer brought out his new nt1 for the first time and the thrust bearings broke in half after his second tank of fuel.
he took the grooved thrust bearing plates and reversed the and put a third thrust plate between them . basically three thrust bearing plates greased them up and it worked awesome .
i dont think that set up will ever fail as there is no bearing.
when my thrust bearing fails i am going to go this route also
i know it sounds crazy but it works very good and is bulletproof
cheers

I've almost got my NT1 completed. I'm getting ready to build the shocks and wonder if you guys have any suggestions on pistons, oil, and springs for typical US parking lot racing.
Our track is pretty decent with 100-120ft straight, nice newer blacktop, sprayed with sugar water. With my G4S I've been running 1.2/30wt, and med-soft springs(pink/purple TM)
And on the pistons any reason I shouldn't use the adjustable pistons?
Thanks
Gary

As for a starting setup I was previously running a G4s with the same spring setup & 40wt/ 1.2mm 2 hole pistons locally and am using 25/20lb springs w/ 60wt oil & 2 hole fr & 3 hole re pistons.

The adjustable pistons just give you the ability to make minor adjustments in your dampening without having to rebuild the shock. I would recommend using them since it makes the piston adjustment easier with no downside.

For those of you just now building your car I would suggest yo add the stk thrust bearing to the Junk pile, its only good for about 1 gallon when regressed every hour. The good news is the k-factory thrust bearing is a drop in replacement and should last a full season or more even if neglected.
For those counting the required upgrades now include the yellow show, front CVDs, after market thrust bearing, and possibly the multidiff.
