Do you have any hop ups for the DM1 like CF and aluminum
I just sold my Serpent GT and will be sticking it out with the DM1
I like how it handles compared to my serpent
Thanks for all the info

Can anyone recommend motor mounts for the dm1. I installed an onroad .21 but the gears are not lining up. I have it shimmed up but I'm not convinced on the durability of shims on a high rpm motor. I feel it would be a weak link in the drivetrain. Any info or tips would be saaweeet!!!

Finally got to run my DM-1 with some decent tires.. Proline Road Rage SC tires (I think) on DE Racing 17mm rims.. Awesome grip. Was able to push the car so much harder than I'd ever been able to before(on a non-groomed asphault mess-around track where I run it mostly..)

All those stupid small-diameter rally game tires I bought are freakin' useless (for a non-racer like me especially..)

I've been trying to sell my two 7th scale DM-1's for a while now, with no bites. And I'm not going to give them away. One is used, the other still unassembled in the box. So I guess - especially now that I know what tires are decent - I'm going to be keeping them for the long run. Just need to be sure I can buy clutch bells(the annoying Achilles heal of the DM-1 IMO, the rest of the car being awesome..) and 2-speed parts in the future... I guess CB's are fewer and further between these days. So if anybody knows of a good source, lemme' know. Nitrohouse is useless to me, as they want 30 bucks shipping for whatever you order, however small...

Yes, I have gear box spacers, shock towers and a two speed plate to use with aluminum 2-speed holder currently.

Also have a new stand up servo mount and new foam bumper in the works. In checking it also looks like I'll need to do the aluminum lower hinge mount and upper rear, as those are not being made any more. Last item will be a new chassis. Not sure if it will be aluminum or carbon fiber, but working on both.

Mark, having the aluminum pieces would be a bonus. Trying to get people hooked without having the necessary upgrades hurts the DM-1 product. You making it to the TZGP this year?

Ryan,

I'm working on both the aluminum mounts as well as a new chassis, and maybe even carbon fiber as an option. New servo mount should be back from the machine shop and I even have a new foam bumper, bigger to fit some of the other bodies and much denser foam. ..... So should be able to keep the DM-1 in the mix.

I've got to make a work related trip to Seatle and if I can make that work, would ship my stuff up and stay the weekend ......
