Hello,
I have an older ultra converted to eL8m and with short shocks. What i would like to know is what tire to run on a medium bite abbrasive indoor onroad oval/road course with latemodel bodies? I currently have the ofna tires and all corners and they wear away within a few nights run from tread to no tread. What rubber tires would work better for longivity plus traction?

Need info
I read in the beginning that you could use centax style clutch on this car with minimal modifications. A small amount of drill mo. Later I read that the centax clutch doesn't hold up. Can some one explain what it is that doesn't hold up, because I’m thinking of putting it my dm1. Again only if it works, also if I’m not mistaken someone use Mugen centax clutch with Kyosho bell and gears. Gears from Kyosho Evolva and bell?

A friend who is in vacation time just called me from the track.
We here as racers use a lot the 1/7 chassis from OFNA and not the short SPEC one (dont know, for our tracks, better laptimes with long chassis), and my friend just installed front and rear "rear" SPEC vertical shocks and towers and wow, he sais that the car handles like a dream ... so i think i will try that for next race this weekend ... any opinion ?
thanks,

Mounting the shock vertically is the way to go hands down. I noticed an immediate difference. Not to mention the ofna team racers mount them vertically. Just so you guys know you can mount the shocks vertically for the 1/7 scale cars with two rear shock towers. You can get the rear shock towers here
