I drove mine on Saturday and it had a ton of steering. I actually had to slow it down on the radio. I do need to add a little more rear traction and prob up the shock oil. But great truck.

Wait it out another month or so and you should be able to buy an XT8E from RC America directly.

Or jump in now and do the e-conversion yourself.

What I'm truly wanting to know (and was unable to find out) is if the XT8E will have a different chassis compared to the XT8? I'm leaning towards a 'no', but anyone know for sure?

Rc America passed XRAY has only indicated an e-conversation release. No plans for a kit at the moment.

The XT8e will not. the XT8 nitro chassis.. has holes in it for the electric components. namely the battery tray. there is 4 holes extra in the nitro chassis for the battery tray.

found this set up extremely loose on power, not very nice to drive at all.
going to make lots of changes this weekend.

I agree. I moved the rear hubs all the way forward and it helped the rear traction a ton. I also had to slow down my steering servo a little, that's a 1st for a truck in my bench.

Has anyone run the box stock set up? Good? or did most start with the Tessman set up?

i did the stock setup, which i thought was basically a tessman early setup, i might be wrong.. but.. i did make changes to it. to me personally..the stock setup was too grippy for me.. i needed to loosen the truck up.. Here is my current setup.. and its pretty good.. with electroshot tires..

XRAY ::: Set-up Sheet - XT8'17

couple of other changes i want to try.. is wheelbase.. i want to move the front arms forward and see how that works. sofar.. so good..

Do the emulsion style shock caps with the screw come with some sort of oring or gasket to seal the shock once you put this cap on?

They come with instructions on what to do to your bladders. Cut the center out of the bladders.
