I also have one vspec that needs rebuilding so i came here to ask which is the best engine, and the best pipe for that engine and which is the most popular clutch setup. When i say best i mean first of all reliable and then fast.. Cause i dont want an engine than will run for 4-5 gallons and then i will need a rebuild. But at the same time i need the engine to be powerfull enough so that i will do the long jumps and also fast enough on the straights.

as soon as i get enough help i have 400 euros ready and if i need more next week i will have more for buying the what you guys recomend.

Btw the engine will be running either on an st-rr,xray xb808,mp9. but if its not useable foor a truggy then no problem.

Thanks.
Engines run hard and need maintenance too. Bearigs only last so long and eventually need to be replaced. If toungakencare of them most p/s will go 8+ gallons. I had a speed engine that had 14+ gallons on the carb, case, and crank qnd it only bley because the crank pin wore. It went through 1 p/s/r change and a few bearings. I think some of the longest lasting engines are the novas. I like os engines personally but I know your frustration. Hopefully os will come out with a new and improved engine that blows the vspec away.

And 400 eurus yo can have any eninge on the market.

I love these type of threads. At the end prob every mfg will be reccomend except rb not many rb users I guess. What I want to know is how does recommending every engine mfg help?? We will see

I can only tune 7 ports! And if I'm going to commit to the headaches of nitro 2stroke I want crazy smilie power.

RB WS9
Novarossi FMS

I use OS plugs in both even though it's not really good for the head buttons. I can't seem to tune Od or NR plugs for some reason?

I'd love to play with the OS .28xz in a truggy some more, but they don't seem to last too long.

No one is recomending O>S.. hahaha

I think O.S are overpriced..

I never used wercks or Nova but it seems from the posts here these engines are compatible in the performance with o.s and they are cheaper.

With A-main selling V-specs at $250 they are affordable enough, but are they worth it? The metalorgy ont he crank seems to be subpar..

I'm currently torn between Werks or Alpha Plus.. I'm leaning more toward the Werks because I already have the pipes for it. But if I had to buy both engines and pipe I would prolly go with an Alpha.. BUt don't think you would go wrong with either choice..

I've seen both run and both scream, I've seen alot more Werks engines then I haev Alphas, which is another deciding factor for me.. None of them have had any troubles, they get good enough mileage, and make awesome power..

if I were to pick one engine, it would be a Novarossi 21-4 Team with a 9853ss and a 41005.....butter smooth with gobs of usable power delivery when you need it........im trying a OS speed next time at the track.

If it did't cost so much to get into one it would be my choice.
