Chris I always heard that the reason the shocks are behind the tower, is the heat from the engine can affect the viscosity with the shock being close like that. Which makes sense to me, but let us know how you like it. The new Serpent buggy has the rear shocks in the front, from the factory.

technically even behind it thas some effect also. with the wind traveling over the aluminum shock body i'm not sure the temperature would change that much. i want to know if having the shock in the front affect the handling at all, i guess it should "feel" like it has less rear anti squat. also i guess if you can take a regular buggy and flip the shocks to the front why couldn't you take the serpent buggy and put your shocks on the back? also if you open the rear bulkhead now you don't have to remove the sway bar...

Drove my car hard today worked pretty well(had some brake binding issues later in the day but nothing 5 minutes work of work can't fix) Car turns pretty well going to try some adjustments and see if I can get it to turn a little quicker and make the rear end rotate just a little better

overall good day of running

Been running mine with the shock mod and I love it. Since doing the mod the car seems to jump a little nose down which I love instead of it being more level. Turning and rotation of the car seem to have increased some with less weight being on the back of the buggy. Almost won the A-main at a local race a couple weeks ago but bobbled some on the last lap and ended up second but me and second did put a lap on the field! He had a MP9 with a OS Speed. I am afraid to try the NEW designed upper arms on the car now. My 1.5r steers awesome and the new arms are supposed to make it that much better

The new 1.5R RTR has been doing awesome too! On its 3rd race stock out of the box (servo's and all) I let a friend race it and qualified for 2nd in the A-main before getting rained out. Only RTR in the field.

I know this post is about the Caster Fusion 1.5R but its basically a electric ZX1.5R So I wanted to post it.

Round 1 of the California NorCal series. Almost 40 entries for 1/8 electric buggy. Jonathan Hernandez driving the new Caster EX1.5R decided to make it close against Tyler Vik, but won as expected. Here is the vid. Great race and showing for Caster Racing!

Raced the past saturday night at a club series and took out the RTR ZX1.5R. Took TQ for the night with it Buggy is dialed Put on some VP PRO Axmen ultra flexx tires for the main and got out to a early lead and held it up to the 8 or 10 minute mark when I flamed out. Ended up taking 5th overal in the A. Not bad. Might have won if not for that. Complete suspension and everything is out of the box on it except for tires and dropped in a GRP for the night. Who says you cant race an RTR lol!

Raced the RTR 1.5R again saturday night. Had a few motor problems when the sun went down and was losing bottom end badly. Qualified in the B-main, which I knew I should be in the A considering my first couple laps in each qual were A-main times but then I would lose bottom end for the rest of the qualifier. Dropped in my Extech .21 and did a quick tune and the RTR was ripping. Started the B-main in 3rd and quickly checked out from the field easily. A little more then halfway through I flipped over where a marshal did not notice me and stayed upside down too long and when finally flipped back over I flamed out. Was hard to get started up so I got a couple laps down. Buggy was perfect though and lost nothing compared to all the KITS on the track. finished 5th overall in the B Oh well, cant do good all the time.

As far as the RTR goes it has not failed me yet on the except for my first race where I somehow stripped a spur. Other than that it has taken a beating. I think my PRO KIT ZX1.5R will start collecting dust now cause I like driving this rtr so much

It will be interesting to see how this progresses with you running a rtr. The nitro buggy is good, but we sell the electric ones 10 to 1 over them.

Any advice or set up tips for the ZX-1R? I picked up one second hand and it looks good. Just need to pick an engine and pipe
