Jason are there any plans for a kick off race or something to that effect? I could see racers from our 5 state region traveling for an event there. Sioux Falls is a great location for a track! I'll be down sometime this summer I'm sure.

Gil and I have discussed having couple big races every year. I would like to get everything running for couple weeks get all little bugs worked out with the new timing system. Will we also have to schedule around the big soft ball turnaments they have during the summmer for big races. Hopefully will have schedule out her in the nxt couple weeks. My daughter graduates this year so won't be able to help much for this week. and sounds like buch more rain all weekend. We will keep working at it and will get it done. Thanks Jason

All I can say is WOW! That track is lookin BA! I cant wait to come out for a day!
I used to play at the field over by the track for invitational tourneys. There will be quite a few tourneys but not a lot I dont think. I'm ready to fire up my Speed-NT like crazy after I graduate from HS this weekend!

Is there going to be any charging station there? Just asking but I'm sure there would be because of the dug out dirt along the track and out to the gravel parking area?

Im wondering if I need to make a portable charging station. to charge my elec start, etc.

Full power, and water on both sides of the pit areas. They are putting up baseball lighting... So lighting will be no issue what so ever! Super bright!

Just wanted to correct ben on the info. We are not putting up any lights at this time. track will have power around the outside of the fence. and will be power available on the drivers stand for pit lane also. Gil got a couple 1 inch hoses for watering so we should have plenty of water. Track is coming along great hopefully rain stays away for the rest of the week so we can get the final prep done to the jumps and the lanes smoothed up. All we have to do is do a final drag on the oval and pack it in and it is ready to go. I will get some new pics tomorrow so we can get them posted.. The new track will be called Aspen Raceway Park

Man that track is huge! Good work, it is coming along nicely. I'm going to head down to Hobbytown in Sioux Falls and pick me up a 1/8 scale buggy. They have the new RTR Thunder Tiger that should be perfect for this track.
