Unfortunately I had to miss this weekend's race due to a work conflict. Wish I could have made it out.

Hope you guys are successful in expanding the track for 1/8th scale. You will probably see an increase in 1/8th scale interest soon, as Indy RC World may not be around much longer. Sadly, that facility has come up for sale. If Indy goes under, there will no longer be a 1/8th scale track in the DFW area.

Sorry for the multiple posts, but I have a question:

Will the indoor tracks be open on December 26th?

I am not sure. Please contact the Hobby Shop for the holiday hours.

I finally found red clay that will work and ordered 100 yds of it. Unfortunately, the dirt delivered was not the same dirt as the sample I picked. So I am still working with the dirt company to try to correct the issue. I hope to have the dirt stuff corrected by the end of the next week.

At this time, I have for the most part ruled out running 1/8 scale on it. I have discussed it with several racers and run a few laps on the current track. The 1/8 cars are going to destroy the track and make it heck on the 1/10 cars. Our track is drawing a huge crowd for the 1/10 cars, and we do not want to mess up a good thing.

Thanks for the reply. Very understandable.

Trends and Trains Hobby Shop has been sold and will soon be under management. The new name of the shop is T&T R/C Hobbies. The owners will assume full control and operation of the hobby shop on April 6th. They have been in the shop and behind the counter since this past Saturday. The new owners are local racers who have been racing at T&T Speedway for the last 2 yrs or so. Greg has been in the RC hobby for over 20yrs. He has been a sponsored RC helicopter pilot for many years. Greg has taught and been able to get Suzanne interested in the hobby as well. She flies airplanes and races on the indoor track.

Please go check out their FB page. More information about the new owners can be found on their first post to their new business page. They have some great ideas and are truly excited about expanding our hobby in the area.

I hope I will see you at the shop or the tracks.

All, the first race under the new Hobby Shop owners was a huge success. There were 99 entries to the race, and there was plenty of positive feedback on the first round of changes to the shop. If you have not been by the shop since April 6th, please make an effort to come by soon. The new owners are making huge strides in providing an exciting place to shop and play. They have increased inventory, and they are constantly bringing new product every few days.

The next big event is the 3 day Red River Spring Fling Race that will be held April 29 thru May 1. If you have not signed up, please go to the link below and register. This is going to be the largest race ever held on the indoor tracks. I expecting the entry count to the 150 mark.

I am truly excited about the growth our track and hobby has seen in the last 12 months at T&T Speedway, and I am even more excited about the next 12 months under the new management at T&T R/C Hobbies.

The next round of the outdoor series is this coming Saturday weather permitting. If it decides to rain, we will have a club race indoors.

Either way we are racing Saturday.

Also, we are having an indoor club race Thursday. Racing starts at 6PM. 2 class max per driver - $10 per class
