Jeff has quite of few VTA racers. You could see 2 full races in this class.

I know there is a lot of talk about F1 right now but seriously these cars are a disaster. They drive like crap on rubber, drive good on foam but the foam tires work best when they are small and then the car looks retarded or can't make ride height.

I agree they look cool but can we just move on and bring back an established class like 1/12 13.5? They drive awesome and work great on all current tracks.

If you don"t like F1 don"t run it. No need to down the class that quite a few of us are wanting to run. Its just a class to have some fun with not serious crap like other classes.

For motor you can't go wrong the Trinity D3.5 or Reedy Sonic or Gen 2 Tekin. All the batteries are basically the same - but most of us run SMC, R/C King or Revtech packs. For speedo, the Tekin, Hobby Wing/Speed Passion or Orion seem to work very well.

Start with a final drive of 3.8 with the timing turned all the way up and play with gear and timing until the motor comes off the track at 180 or less after a 6 minute run.
