2014 FSEARA Schedule
Hello racers,
I'm happy to announce the schedule for the 2013/2014 Florida State Electric Auto Racing Assocation:
Race #1 Jeff's RC Studio, Ft. Myers (awards banquet from last season)
September 15th
Race #2 Village R/C, Palm Beach Gardens
October 20th
Race #3 Superior Hobbies, Casselberry
November 17th
Race #4 Minnreg, Largo
January 12th
Race #5 Full Throttle Raceway, Kissimmee
March 16th
Race #6 Port Charlotte R/C, Port Charlotte
April 20th
Race #7 TBD
Classes for the upcoming season follow:
17.5 sedan
13.5 sedan
VTA sedan (rules will be put to vote within the next few days)
WGT
Promoter's Class - with the Worlds coming up, I assume this will be Mod at most tracks.
*F1 Exhibition Class - seeing some good chatter about this class. Let's pencil it in and try to grow it. If we can't get at least 4 people per race to run, we won't run it. Not for a championship this year, at least. More to come).

For VTA I would like to see both the old tire pattern and the new tire pattern (VTA) threaded tires legal. Not the VTA slicks.
What happened to Plant City? It looks like I'll be traveling a very long distance for the first race (350 mile one way).

Bill are you talking about the performance tire #102994 & 102993
We currently are only allowed to use #4797&4793 these are the only tire used
In Usvta and VTA
If your gonna change so much of this class you should just call it fseara VTA
You guys are all going so far off from what makes this class what it is what's the point of even having it just run sedan then you can use what ever your wallets can pay out .
Just my .02
And If I was the most interesting
Man in the world that would
Be worth 37.50 :-)

Don't understand why would you decide to go with 9 drivers and 1 bump or 10 drivers and 1 bump why not go with the norm 8 + 2 bump ups like its done in other classes

Pete -yes those are the tires. And on the package it says "D compound" which is the same compound. It's just a different tire pattern. The new Novak Boss VTA is also legal (per the championships coming up).
Having run both the USVTA and ROAR VTA I did not see any difference between the 5000mah and a 6500mah battery. Weight is the same for the car.Drivers fiqure required. So what is the problem?
If we have both tires available (Just in case you can't get them and you have no choice).

Bill - I made several attempts to contact Ron at Plant City the first two and a half weeks of June with no luck. Love his facility and the program he runs, but I had to assume no response from him meant he really didn't have any interest.
George - The 9 qualify and 1 bump is in line with the Snowbirds method for bump ups and probably the only experience most of the on-road electric guys have with it. The 10 qualify and B-main winner method is something we just cooked-up on the fly. We've never done this in the State Series, so we're making it up as we go. Totally up for more discussion.
