PVC pipe works best plus mine have lasted forever...and they are cheap...just take a rim with you to Home Depot or Lowes and find the right size caus emy head hurts and I forgot the size...LOL...these would be just for fun...but for serious racing you would have to ask someone who races drift cars.

lol... thats too slipperyhahaha

does pvc pipe actually run... or does it just burn out

Surprisingly it actually goes pretty well with pvc. Me and my friend just take the bare wheels that come with Xrays and slap them on and jack up the ride height.

I run PVC when running on rutty parkinglots and run old rubber tires with electrical tape wrapped around them on smooth surfaces. The electrical tape tires give a more realistic drift while the PVC tires are just crazy because of the stuff you can do with them (going backwards while the wheels are spinning forward, 50*+ drifts..)

They hook up fine. I've run them with a mod motor and 3600's. You can just sit and do donuts until the battery runs out. But you can get forward traction and make your car steer. I've ran about 10 packs with my tires, and they still work fine. I bought my PVC tires off ebay cause I'm too lazy to go to Lowes

when i was into drifting i used ABS pipes i prefered it over PVC because it was black. When drifting it's all about making your car look real as possible.

Uhhhh, my bad, I was using the ABS. I called them PVC, but they were black Sorry about that, but I'm sure they work just as good as the PVC.
Shookie, grooves would help the pick-up alot. Good idea

do you put hte pvc around your rims or around your tires
#12
Put the PVC or ABS tires around the rims. Use some electrical or duct tape and put it on the wheel before you "slide" on the tire. This helps keep the tire on the rim, or else they will slide off the rim as you drift.

I never liked PVC, too un-realistic and hard to chain drifts, I use electrical tape or clear hockey tape. Gives good speed, easy to handle and realistic drifts

I use some Black ABS pipe from home depot for just only 1.50 for a 4ft pipe, then use a good old hack saw and a vise to hole the pipe and cut away slabs of abs tires. I run my TC4 with a speed Gem Extreme 17T mod motor and at first you kinda have to break in the tires you know scratch them up while drivin-Drifting hard and there you should have some pretty good runs and a heck of alot of freaken fun.

I know this is old, but some guys may have just started drifting and this will be an inspiration that you can do anything with PVC piples...
