You will need the F104 lower arm and the steering hub and the typical Tamiya F104 front parts....this is the only way to keep it at 180mm wide.

Correct, I started with the front end from an F104-X1, and added in the Exotek upper arms and graphite mount.

So the SP1 was a blast to drive the most recent night I made it to the track here in Canada. First night out I was only .5 behind Our local F1 expert's pace. Pretty pleased for a cars first setup. Only things I changed were the rear ride height (realised I was dragging the rear end for the first two qualifiers), and increased the front toe in a couple degrees. The car pushes in the middle of the corner and is a little twitchy driving out. Turn in is awesome and I have no issues with traction. The Pit tires are worth there weight in gold, and they come off clean, even with Action Hobbies Kingsville's old carpet. These tires last forever. I have lot of speed still in the car, I geared down one tooth because I felt I was over driving it, and my laptimes dropped a 10nth, but still same handling symptoms. Also, I can work with the RS because I wasn't running blinky (as per rules) but had left the VTA settings from its previous car.
As far as resilience, I only broke one part all night, and it was one of the Associated links I had swapped in for the softer SP links. Tamiya/Exotek front end is yet to be tested, I didn't hit anything, other than the occasional board snuggle. I've been driving an X1 since they came out, so once this car hit the carpet, I've been giddy ever since!

Awesome results!

I've already spied the new aluminum option parts and they look badass.

I narrowed mine using the cam blocks facing out and now my car is 187.5mm( 1.5* camber) front 188mm rear with Pit tires on Tamiya foam wheels.
Also was able to use a servo saver with bell crank steering by placing the servo all the way back.

I don't know this has been done before, but I did it by mistake a year ago but now, it seems like it is a pretty good mistake that I made.

The TCS brand rubber tires #1031 (aka Pit 571) with the F104 foam rim...the front rim/tire, I (or someone) mistakenly glued the tire the wrong side. To glue the tires correctly, the smaller diameter side of the rubber suppose to wrap around the edge of the F104 foam rims...that way, no matter how to measure it, the front tires will NEVER be 180mm per the TCS rule...it will be around 184mm the narrowest by using F104 front end...and on our SP1, it will be around 187ish mm with the 184mm setup.

But because I glued it the wrong side...now my SP1 has the true 184mm front. And if I am using the F104 fix front end, I will have 180mm front width.

However, there are some extra work to be done...the INSIDE of the tire, you will have a lot of rubbers that you have to CUT OFF...that is do-able, just need time to trim them off by using a sharp x-acto knife.

I have been using this "screw up" tires for almost 40 plus run and the traction of the PIT is just amazing...it was run 10 plus battery for indoor carpet then 30 plus run for the outdoor and traction is still plenty....I really don't know how many more runs I can do with this exact tires but I don't see any cut nor wear on it...I can guarantee it can run 40 plus more pack on it.
