Thanks for the info slot!!

I've got another question for you...

I had asked earlier in this thread (page 134 I think) about getting my rear end to come around more during corner exit. You had suggested decreasing rear droop and adding rear sway bars. I've also ben considering going to a heavier oil in the rear shocks in an effort to keep the chassis flatter. I had noticed that the front end was diving to the outside corner with the rear end lifting quite a bit. I currently have 3mm of droop in the front and 2.5mm in the rear. I currently have trinity 55wt on all four corners. Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks--Al

This is what I said.
Limit the front droop to about 1mm. this will give you less rear weight transfer. If you raise the rear roll center you will increase rear traction, not loose it. A rear swaybar will help also.
You could always try a stiffer spring...........The thicker oil will slow down the cars reaction and limit the chassis roll.

That would be my first step too...it's dumping over too much in the front, so put a stiffer spring up front.

I think i'll try the sway bar set before the springs or oil change. I'll let all of you know what happens--Al

I'm impressed, This car with a few mods is an Xray T2 beater in stock. I was surprised. I wonder how it will do in Mod road course. I don't own one but after I saw what is can do on the track I was getting the itch to try one

i am having a problem with my TA05.

the car is box stock.

1 degree of negative camber front and back.
1 degree of toe out in front.

nitro shoes foam tyres 35 front and rear.

the problem is that the car just doesn't turn in enough and i get severe understeer. almost every turn requires me to back off the throttle to get the car to turn in.

what should i look at to resolve this?

Hey Rocket,

A few things come to mind, maybe you're running the front a little too stiff. What spring oil combination are you running?

Are you running lightweight suspension ? I found I lost a little steering when I switched to the lightweight suspension, I solved this by moving the steering links to the rear hole on the front knuckles.

Are you running 35 foams all round, I found that the car rotates better when running harder rear tyres than you would in the front. Try experimenting with 35 front and 37 rear or even 37 front and 40 rear.
