The GTR body is very neutral and stable, the MP body has LOTS of steering and i think it will need more wing and air dams, next time out i am going to raise the wing 10mm with some dams along with some setup changes. Didnt have time to mess with the ferrari yet but will soon

Thanks Jstall for your vision. That fender cut changes the whole look of the car.Looks fast, very fast. That's what i'm hoping for tomorrow.I put in a 34t-p mated with a 36t-s.Some modifications needed on the motor mount, she's all done.I'm nervous just looking at her sitting on the bench, you can't help seeing those two imposing gears in there. This is a big step forward and my adrenaline is on high alert.Godspeed.

Marcus
I was going to ask you which did you think did best in a track environment. i was thinking the GTR would. I club race sometimes and when i do i use a nissan 350z body it seems to be more on the neutral side and tracks well. the gtr reminds me of the 350 body just longer.. cant wait to get my hands on it. i think i may replace the warrior with this for the track

I case you guys didn't see it here is my warm up crash

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5oo...e_gdata_player

Here is a 90mph run. I couldn't hit a 100 but the car will do it, it just didn't feel right today, I need a better road. The car seems way light in the rear with no wing I need a perfectly flat bump free road.

Could be wrong, but your 98.7 mph run with the full rear spoiler intact and without the Traxxas front spoiler added was more on track. With you just trimming the center spoiler alone might have been enough to reach your 100 mph goal.

Listening to the video, it almost sounds like the Traxxas plastic might be digging in a little too much, grabbing the pavement at times. Checking the tire temps before & after the run might also indicate slight wheel spin of your rear tires at WOT because of it too.

You're getting close, keep it up, you'll get there soon enough!

Last time without the splitter I had 160g in the front bumper, no weights this time.
Tires were definatley getting warm, I didnt probe them but they were pretty warm. The new shocks just don't feel right yet. the shocks are from the nitro version of the car so i might switch back to the rtr springs on the pro shocks. Bottom line is 100mph just isn't going to bappen if I'm scared to give a full squeeze and today I was. I'm going to add more weight to the rear again, the warrior wing really helps with rear end traction on the way up to speed so without it the road has to be absolutely perfect and very gradual throttle. The xo-1 tires felt more planted and gave about 1/8 to 1/4" more ride height.

I'll get there....kinda bummed out...

I hear that, but you're getting awesome experience with different combos.
Once you find the right one, you'll be over your goal speed for sure!!

It's fricken intense, I was shaking at the wheel. I'm happy with 90mph today there's more throttle to go I was just trippen after that crash I had and then the car popping up twice before that. Im going to add more weight to the rear again. I think the splitter might be doing its job and then some with no rear wing to counter it it makes the back end lighter the faster I go causing me to loose rear traction. That's my guess anyway. I'd advise using a wing when you first start out because each time I ran without one I had rear traction trouble and a light feeling back end. One of the earlier runs i did with the stock body and no wing it got away from me the same way. The cars putting out a incredible amount of power and I'm still pretty new to this, I think those were my 7th and 8th runs so i don't really even know the car yet. So many changes, still have a few more planned. This week I'm looking for my dream road.
