1st race with the gtv2e
Wow what a difference a set of gpr tires makes all that tuning with stock tires almost useless.
I ended up with almost too much grip I couldn't break the rear end loose when I wanted to.
Overall I'm pretty impressed with the the rtr although a little under powered for the competition ran well.
Can't wait till my cvds arrive next week and maybe a motor/esc upgrade

Cool dude, I'm going to order some grp's myself. I love the sweep wheels though, maybe I'll do another set of sweeps. But I blew up a sweep tire when my gtp2e went off the track and I gave it to much throttle trying to get back on the track. Tire was at 50% tread though in all fairness. I'm running belted ofna tires right now and they work pretty good.

Ok ofna guys, since I've been out of onroad for a few years and am 2 weeks new to 1/8 scale I'm looking for some setup and upgrade help here. Ran my gtv rtr at the track Sunday and while the performance for the money was impressive its still nowhere near competitive. I'm hoping someone has some setup suggestions and upgrade suggestions. I'm running grp revo tires and at the moment all else is box stock.I've played with some shock position and ride height and camber but that was with the rtr tires I may even have too much grip with the revos.
Mods at this point : 15 t pinion , rear cvds on order, just picked up a castle 2650 kv the Toro had enough on top but got hot and didn't have any grunt out of the turns.
I'm looking for setup tips
Ride height
Droop
Camber
Pinion
Shock position
Track is med.to high grip pavement
Any suggestions or just tell me what your running would be appreciated

I wish I could be more hep to you but im just focusing on speed runs with this car. If I were you I would buy a castle monster esc next. The toro esc is only 120amps, probably causing the ofna motor to get hot. I assume the 2650 will get hot also. Tuning is sort of a per track basis, maybe some of the local fast guys could help you out more on that. My gtp2e has been my track car for the last couple years.

The motor wasn't frying hot and I also have aheatsink and fan on the way

I'm gonna get myself in trouble with this thought process...
Is this "larger" than a GT2 car?
On the Ofna site it says a 368mm wheelbase
Isn't GT2 360mm?
Given the fact i did the Long conversion on my GTP2e and it will ultimately see very limited use im already thinking about getting another purpose built OnRoad car.
The ERBE-gt custom is nice, but far from refined.

Ride height: depends on bumps, lower is better some where around 10mm, a little track scuffing is acceptable for me as we have a high speed cross town with bumps.
Droop: A little more in the rear, 10-15mm. Absolutely left same as right side.
Camber: 2 1/2f and 2r degrees
Pinion: On our track you need to go 50-55mph on the straight(~220'), with 2650/4s and high speed diff gears(3.31) a 19-20t pinion/42 spur is needed. Fast lap times for us are in the 21-22 second bracket.
Shock position: middle top and outboard bottom.
These cars are laying down the fastest laps on our track ever for GT8. They're not far behind the 1/10 mod sedans. Not bad for ~8.5lb car.
