Smile STEERING PROBLEM

G'day Midnight,

I had the same problem and was the servo saver. The servo saver could be loose, ie retighten screw or if faulty replace servo saver. Have had this happen before and now always carry a spare.

Hope this solves your problem.

Cheers
Calvin.

I figured out the trim. It was the servo. This is my first ko and I think im going to have to send it in.

Does anyone know how to get more rear traction? Im running 3 on the block and .5 on the hub.

softer springs
softer oil
lower roll centre (less shims on inner pivot point
longer camber link
more droop on front
lay rear shocks down
roll bar on front
raise front roll centre (add shims to inner pivot point

that`s just for starters

Thanks Mr.Jolly. Im running losi 50 in front and 45w in rear. I was thinking of going to 40 in front and 35 in rear. Im also using xray 17.5 in front and 15 in rear. I forgot to mention Im running 2 hole piston all the way around and 2nd hole out on the hub.

Can you also help me by telling me what does kick up in the front does. Im running shims under the front end (of car) and no shims on the rear end (of car).
Thanks in advance.

i was just eye balling a bare chassis and a built chassis, has anyone thought about trimming the plastic battery holders so they could be moved closer to the center of the chassis. the front three cells can be moved in farther then the rear three. i use a wire to connect the sets of cells as i also use my batteries in the BX. i will try to post pictures later.

challenge for anyone who can fix my car its bugging me. on fast left hand corners back end spins and on slow rights handers does the same. other way round understeers. and i dont just mean a little drift i mean it does a instant 180

so far i have tried to cure it by

new chassis
new top deck
new hubs wishbone etc
hingepins balljoints all straight none bent
car setup spot on used fastrax setup station (droop ride hight camber toe in wheelbase)
set up on tweak station and weight distribution and car is on the dot.
tried several shells
tried new tires (just incase insert gone or something)
does it at other tracks not just local
no play in wheels but runs very free. no wheels binding anywhere.
all suspension mounts are straight.
akerman is correct both sides.
made sure roll bar works same both ways
diffs rebuilt twice
shock rebuilt twice.
steering balance set on controller.

think thats it

ive tried eveything to the most of my knowledge and i cant find out whats up anyone else got any idea. ive driven worse set up cars and gone better than this

any help apprecited

thanks in advance

Check the bellcrank posts. They can get bent in an impact and cause the car to be tweaked.

You can also leave out 2 topdeck screws at a time to see if it fixes the problem, for example the two that attach the topdeck to the front bulkheads. then the two that attach to the bellcrank posts. Car might not handle fantastic when you do it but it will tell you where the tweak is.

Also check your hingepin blocks too. They can get bent as well and cause tweak.

Default rear ball joints

also check the rear ball joints...
if you're using the long type...sometimes they get a bit bent...and will cause the rear to become a bit unstable...had that happen to me a few times...
bent ball joint or sometimes they strip out the upright (if you're using the aluminums in the rear)

center pulley is right way round.
im using the mx ball joints so i have normal ball joints on hubs with washers under so there ok
. not using alloy hubs or anything cuz they just bend anyway.
had all the bearings out they seem ok.
hinge pin blocks i had a look and look fine.
i did find one but i changed it and made no differnece
