I have the same issue with mine and I KNOW that I installed them correctly. I measured the inside diameter of my new set against my old shocks. Shock bodies were identical, but the inside diameter on the new collars are .1mm wider. Doesn't seem like alot, but it is enough to allow the collar to slip up the shock body. I notified TOP USA and I am sending mine back to them for their own measurements. No changes were made to the shocks, so there shouldn't be any issues. May be some machining tolerances that were changed during production. Hope they can get it sorted out.

Here you will find a editable setup sheet.
As usual, I added some magic to this document as well as some extra fields.
If you want to add a setup to the link on top, an email address is indicated on low right part of the setup sheet.
Feel free for comments.

similar kit setup, only difference is 400 cps oil with 306 spring front and rear, gear diff 1000 cps
unfortunately I haven't V2 steering blocks, in italy we haven't yet!
planning to try a setup more similar to "old" Photon: 3mm ackerman, long links front and rear, front arms with 1FF 0FR, 1mm rollcentre RF RR, gear diff 2000 cps

I ran mine on both carpet and asphalt the other day. The carpet was pretty high traction, and the asphalt was pretty low traction (at the time).
with the set up I had it felt better on asphalt. I was running OK times on carpet but it was set up a little to soft. I think it will be great on both. I just put on "EJ's" set up on it and hope to get some track time this weekend with it.
