I have the same issue with mine and I KNOW that I installed them correctly. I measured the inside diameter of my new set against my old shocks. Shock bodies were identical, but the inside diameter on the new collars are .1mm wider. Doesn't seem like alot, but it is enough to allow the collar to slip up the shock body. I notified TOP USA and I am sending mine back to them for their own measurements. No changes were made to the shocks, so there shouldn't be any issues. May be some machining tolerances that were changed during production. Hope they can get it sorted out.

Thanks to Robert for some input.
The setup sheet was updated with two fields suggested by Mike.

Luppi, did you read my post regarding suggested items for the EX?

Does anyone else think the Standard chassis currently shipping with the EX is a bit soft? This car should be dialed for asphalt racing but it seems a bit flexy for carpet.

Other guys on this thread seem to like it on carpet so far...

On low grip asphalt (in stock) its certainly an improvement.... More steering and more planted in the rear.

Standard vs stiff - the question will continue for a while. My gut says I want a stiff chassis but then I see other manufacturers making thinner and thinner chassis. Could you post your setup so far??

I ran mine on both carpet and asphalt the other day. The carpet was pretty high traction, and the asphalt was pretty low traction (at the time).

with the set up I had it felt better on asphalt. I was running OK times on carpet but it was set up a little to soft. I think it will be great on both. I just put on "EJ's" set up on it and hope to get some track time this weekend with it.

I've become a fan of extremely thin/flexible chassis on carpet, especially as grip comes up.
