Default JRXS spur gears

Sorry to do this, but 300 pages is too much for my patience. I'm trying to get back into rc on road and the JRXS has taken my fancy. Just one little question... Do standard 48p spur gears fit? I've read about a spur gear adaptor, What is it for? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The PRS adaptor allows you to use 64 or 48 pitch gears and gear changes are super easy. I recommend one.

Default Shock filling

With the new shocks designed for the JRXS, I think Team Losi made a big step towards Perfection, the shafts retaining the piston by a screw, the accuracy of aluminum parts and rubber seals manifacturing, etc. are awesome!

Also filling the shocks is now a funny 5-minutes-work, and they stay perfect for a long time.
I have only one question.
The manual says to move the shock shaft in before tightening the cap, so as to bleed the excess oil : is this always recommended and how much of shock stroke, or in some conditions you may want to get extra force in compression through the bladder acting like a compressed air chamber?

And when using foam pads or o-rings above bladder, is the same "shaft-in" procedure recommendable or not?

Thanks,

Eddi.

Cool "SHOCKS"

EddieRossi= Not saying this is the best way,,,but my shocks are dialed,,,1= pull the shaft down,2= fill about 1/4 body with oil,3= push shaft up slow then pull down slow,4= fill to top with oil,5= put bladder on and push down gently on the center so the oil bleeds out,use something blunt and round so you don't puncture the bladder,6= put whatever you use in the bladder,o ring,foam,ect,7= put on the cap and your done....Let me know if you have any more questions....L8

hey brian,
i've noticed that after running with a spool, one of the front LCD's develops more 'play' in it than the other. i've rebuilt them with the kit and still found this slop. it was solved only after buying completely new LCD's. is there any way to prevent this or is it an expected outcome of using a spool.

thanks.

Hey BK,

After your shocks are assembled, do they have rebound or are they "dead"?

If they have rebound how much of the shaft will pressure back out?
