The ID of the tc4 Bearings is slightly bigger than the OD of the LCD drives. That's why they fit loosely, which is fine...

Thanks for tip on the HD AE parts, he is not looking for increased strength/durability but rather less wheel chatter in the corners while using a front spool.

I appreciate you help with my questions.

LOSI uses the same size 3/16x3/8 bearings in the hubs as does the TC3 & TC4, thay are NOT slightly bigger or smaller, thay are the same size.

Thanks Mopar! That's exactly the information I needed. I will pass it on to my fellow racers running TC3's and TC4's.

I still have a very fast TC3 (TRF shocks, IRS shafts, Losi hubs etc.) that I likely will not sell as I put over 100 hrs in the drivetrain to make it smooth running and the drivetrain as light as possible. These TC3's and TC4's are great cars that I always steer the new racers towards as they are competitive, durable and inexpensive to keep on the track........ Might just have to bring it to the track again a couple times this year, always loved the snappy acceleration of the shaft drive cars.

Hey guys just got back from the Halloween Classic in Ohio !

It's a top shelf carpet race with always around 200 car entries !

I ran USGT for the first time, with a TC4 and won !!! Competition was high , top level touring guys to seasoned USGT/VTA guys were in the mix .

If anyone is interested , I can post my setup info .

As far as tub tc4 setup, I run blue front springs and silver rear and 80wt oil in my threaded AE shocks with yokomo (#YS8D) bladders&foams. I also run no shims under the arm mounts, except the rear front arm mount that has a #2 shim... Then, I run 4 shims under the most inner camber link ballstud... I also run an IRS aluminum Spool/LCD combo in the front, and a loose ball diff(IRS outdrives) in the rear.... I run one degree camber in the rear, two degree toe, two degree camber in the front, zero front toe and four degree caster blocks... I run my Bearings with no seals, except the Teflon(only) shielded axle Bearings, and also got a Carbon Driveshaft... I run Novak(heavy) electronics and standard servo, but lightweight is a must have there(tekin rs, low profile servo)... I run a Mazda Speed6 lightweight body, and a TP 3300 pack with a ballistic 17.5t motor(12.5mm rotor), geared at 3.75FDR... I also have a Fttc4 13.5t with the same setup and 4.16FDR that's too fast and much lighter than the tub car. If I were running a Fttc4 in 17.5t, I would gear it higher like 3.65FDR...
5mm rideheight and 1mm over rideheight droop... No sauce on the front tires, and shortest wheelbase possible, with shocks all the way flat, inner hole on the towers and inner hole on the arms...
Jason and Bertrand, thanks for the info, My set up is quite similar with exception of shock oil. I have 35fr/30r Ae6.1 shocks and 0* hubs. I'll have to try the the shims!!!

The fastest USGT lap of the event was 10.0975 by Karl Hofmeister . Ray's fastest lap was 10.263... Not bad at all against the $1000 RUSSIAN ROCKET... 17.5t fastest lap 9.31 by another A700.... Wow shaftdrive is taking back the title..lol...

Maybe I should stop oogling over the TC6s at my track. I have to LOL at those expensive belt drive cars that lost. Maybe some manufacturers will take notice?
I'm faster with my TC4 in VTA trim (25.5) than my Xray T2 in USGT trim (21.5). Both are Ballistic motors and HW ESCs.
WTF right?
Maybe I should stick to the TC4s.
