Hey guys. Just wondering if you know of any parts that crossover from other brands/models of touring car to the S411. I'm looking to rebuild and stock up on breakables for next season and rcmushroom is doing a 60% off thing right now. Problem is, they haven't got much S411 stuff that I need.

Not really. I mean you can fit an X-ray rear diff and driveshafts. Xray anti roll bars fit as well as xray shocks but I doubt RCM have any of that left either. I had a look the other day and the stuff they've got left isn't really worth entertaining. I do wander what's happening with RCM they have been selling off everything except Blitz and ARC recently...

Default Serpent s411ff

Hi snake friend...i wanna ask some question about s411ff.
I have a s411ff and want to change shock tower to a lower shock tower like s411 and floating servo. And my question is:
1. Is lower shock tower s411 can use in s411ff ??? Because many parts s411 similar with s411ff.

2. Anybody here know how to improve floating servo in s411ff ??? Or just use carbon servo holder in s411 eryx 2.0???

Thanks a lot

Any of you guys have both Project 4x and 4.0? I would love to hear your feedback on comparison between those 2. It won't affect my decision as I have already purchased 4x. but just curious. I have had Eryx 2.0 and 3.0 and they served me well though I didn't like some aspects on them. Dan, I bet you have both. lol

Yes I have both but haven't use the Eryx since the 4x came out. Actually I am planning to turn the Eryx 4.0 into a 'wet car'. The 4x is a fantastic car once you get your head around the differences in setup. It was a bit of a struggle to begin with but like anything so radical and new it takes time to adapt. The new parts just released for the car make a big difference and we've really turned a corner on setup with the car.

Hi! Just started in TC and bought a used S411 V1.
Some questions please

1 - What is the number of teeth on the belts ? 510 and 186 ? Are there any OEM or cheap sites that offer compatible belts ? What do you recommend ?

2 - Is this chassis good enough for stock competition (over here its 10.5 blinky)

3 - how long do a set of tires last ? (i know ... approx number of packs...)

4 - anyone in europe has one for sale ? i need a chassis for parts

5 - how much of it is compatible with more recent S411 versions ?

6 - Any quick tips for chassis tuning ? Like, i read you should use one step larger antiroll bar connectors and use the screws to tighten it since the correct ones are often too tight.

Thats all for now!

Thanks

For the belts they are 3m pitch so divide the length of the belts by 3

1. 186 rear and 510 front. P/Ns 401353 and 401351 and are the same as the latest 411 v4.1 just run the serpent belts as they aren't expensive and are very durable.

2. The v1 car is a long way behind the current v4.1 but will be a fine platform to learn touring car racing. The biggest changes to the car were new chassis, motor mount, shock towers and shocks as well as most of the aluminium parts being lowered and lightened.

3. Very difficult questions and almost impossible to answer because there are way too many variables. For me I run 2-3 new sets a race meeting but others will run the same set all weekend. You can probably get 20-30 runs out of a set of tyres if you really wanted to.

4. The v1 is very old and so you probably won't find many. The best thing to do is save up for the v4.1 it is very competitively priced now compared to the competition and is a very good car.

5. Most of the latest parts will fit the v1 car but if you broke a shock tower for example it is unlikely you'd find a v1 shock tower so it would mean replacing front and rear shock towers and shocks to the latest standard which wouldn't be a cheap thing to do hence my recommendation to save up for a v4.1 car

6. Run the car pretty much stock. It's fine in standard settings and go from there.

I´ve been taking some time reading the whole thread and people refer to stronger blades, but most aren´t made anymore. Is there any sort of blades that you can find in europe these days ? Links appreciated! Thanks!

The standard blades are fine you just need to keep an eye on them and change regularly. These are an inexpensive part.

Alternatively you can upgrade to the bladeless solid axle and outdrives so that you don’t need to worry about blades. P/N: 401744 and 401724 will sort you out.
