It was ok. Needed more steering but some of that was set up and the limited tuning options I had. I have a little bit more options with this car

Go here first and get your part numbers http://serpent.com/product/400013
and then order from either http://www.amainhobbies.com/index.ph...s-Serpent-S411 or http://www.serpentamerica.com/shop/home.php?cat=93

hope this helps.

Fisher and Ehrbar were driving the optional 2 mm chassis on carpet all the time. The 2 mm chassis is stiffer than the 2.25 mm standard one. I spoke with Ehrbar who is now the designer behind the car and he told me that the carbon on the 2 mm is made/positioned in different pattern.

But for the start he suggested to use the standard kit chassis and set-up and work from there ...

Is there a part number for the 6 hole pistons or do I have to make them out of the 4 hole pistons?

Make them out of 3 holes pistons, as then it's 6holes equally spaced around the piston, so not loading one side, as could happen if you use 4hole.

I'm interesting in the new Eryx. How is it's durability and handling compare to other top racing car like BD7,417v5 and T4 ?

I recently bought Eryx and here's my opinion. More experienced guys may feel different but anyway this is my sole opinion from my experience of having driven all T4, BD7 and S411 Eryx.

Handling: 90/100. The car runs beautifully off of default setting.
Durability:70/100. The top deck is very fragile. Big disappointment. Otherwise plastics are pretty durable they seem.
Finish: 80/100. The ball cups are very very tight that they cause tweaking and stiffness. But not all the guys here owning S411 seem to have the issue. Some suggested to sand the inner side of the cups with drummel. Well IMO, I should not spend another $100 to do that on drummel with brand new car, should I?
Manual: 90/100. Novices will have some hard time understanding some of the intructions. X-ray's manual is better. Still Serpent manual is better than the others except X-ray.

Overall: 80/100. Some aspects better than x ray(shocks, suspension mounts), handling about the same as T4 as stock, better than BD7, Finish-BD7 and T4 are better only because of the ball cups.

the balcups only need a few packs to get loose.
and the topdeck don't like it when you hit stuff headon.
overall i like the car more than every other car i had.
and the new eryx is super easy to drive

The only top decks I've seen broken have been the 2.0 super flex top decks and only after some really hard crashes, but it can happen.

The ball cups will loosen up after a few runs, but helping them with a dremel is definitely a benefit.

For additional building and assembly tips go here, http://www.serpent.com/product/400013/tech-tips/

The Eryx is a very strong car as far as the plastics go and handling is as good as any other car out there.
