When are they back in stock? I still don't have a set yet. I guess I don't need them until the year rolls over, but still I would like to have them glued up an get a feel for them.
Paul said maybe 2 weeks at the soonest. Send me a PM if you want me to send a set to you.

I used them all weekend at the classic and they worked very good. I didn't do as well as I hoped, but that didn't have anything to do with the tires. My main issue was that my motor went out and I tried a different brand and didn't know what to gear it at and setting the timing wrong. (Found out it was set about 20 degrees low! I didn't have the speed I should have and came off just over 100 degrees after the main.)

Here is a picture of the tires next to a pair I haven't used yet. The outsides are the ones I ran vs the middle are just mounted with a little bit of seem removal. As you can see they will round out more after some use.

I had better luck with them this weekend than last time I ran them....Im still think my Xpatterns are faster, but Ill be doing some deep testing Wed at the track...

I had a busted bulkhead and my car never got back right, plus I had to leave before my main to catch my plane back to Nashville....

Im sure that this is the right direction for the class....Im going to put a pair on my HPI rims too to see how they act...3 and 6 offset, 26mm that is

just to clarify part of the motor rule..... I know the rule states this:
"ROAR approved 21.5 + 2s lipo batteries No tuning rotors, must use OEM rotor 12.3-12.5mm"

Does that mean we can use any tuned motor from one of the several tuners to we all know are good (EA, Tag, Fantom etc)? Am I misunderstanding the rule or are these legal? I've seen fully tuned motors and what they can do on the track compared to one straight off the shelf.... just looking to clarify for my understanding.

I was told that if trinity/Novak/whoever makes a motor and they have it approved by roar with the 12.5mm tuning rotor then its legal . but let's say u have a trinity D3 21.5 and add a 12.5tq rotor (which wasn't ever approved by roar as a unit) or u buy a EA/fantom D3 based motor as a Tq tuned motor , no its not legal .

I don't even think the D3.5 had a 21.5tq approved did it ?
What about the kill shot was there 2 different 21.5 submitted ?

I think they hook up even better than my belted X-Patterns if your track allows you to run Sweep 24mm closed cell foams. I used to have to sauce my HPI tires before to get decent grip, now I don't have to use any sauce with the RIDE tires + Sweep foams and I still get faster corner speed to boot. I also feel that by not having to use any sauce stands to reason the tires will last considerably longer to possibly save even more in long term expense, though longevity is pure speculation at this point.

I mounted up a set of Rides on Hpi wheels 3mm offset front 6mm rear offset, and after 9 runs they are showing no wear. I didn't sand the seam at all just ran them straight out of the bag and they were hooked up the whole time, even the first lap. Now I am going to mount up a set on Tamiya +3 offsets and see how they do.

I did ordered ten sets for my Hobby shop and didn't get them so now all my racers are asking when I might have them. This is the one thing everyone is wandering about is the "Supply and Demand" of a new tire. How do we know that the makers of the Ride tire and keep up and not end up like Hpi.

It means no tuning rotor. What comes in the base motor is what is to be used.

100 sets were ordered and sold out in a week. Another 100 sets have been ordered. This being a brand new venture, Gravity RC had to gauge response. Kevin K Eric and I were confident there would be a good response, but selling out that quick is crazy. There is no problem getting the tires, but Gravity has to get a feel for how many sets they will sell per month.

Thanks Rob. Just wasn't sure as I thought some motors could come with both rotors, and didn't know what would be considered stock, wasn't trying to muddy the situation. Thanks again.

Wow, they really swelled up didn't they?! (just like the VTA tires do)
What traction compound were you using?

Did you change you overall gearing FDR with the increase in overall diameter?
