the door is great I just couldn't figure out an easy way to move the drive train back and forth to see the play, I'll try rolling the car on the table the next time

All my past cars have had an exposed spur gear so I just moved the gear with my finger. It's just something to get used to mostly.

On a side note, I finally got to run my car this past weekend, I liked it a lot. I never really had the right tire choice though so I couldn't experiment with the setup much. The car feels very consistant which I like a lot.

Just to double check, the internal ratio for the xxx-s is 1.83

thats right newracer. 1.83

I ran my XXX-S yesterday and it was planted. I'm VERY happy with the car and the way it handles around the local track here.

As for the losi turning into the corner u can reduce rear toe in or add front toe out. stand all the shocks up one hole helps too.

Does anyone know what a good starting gear ratio for a Fantom stock (P2K2) motor would be?

Where you racing at, Sydewynder? I usually run 28/90 (5.88:1) with a Trinity P2K2 at Castle. If you have the stock yellow spur, I'd have 27, 28 and 29T pinions for that track. You've got mail.

Could somebody please explain the rear toe options available for this car? I think stock is 2 degrees per side and I'd like to try the car with a little less rear toe. Are 1 degree and 1/2 degree available? What about 0? Am I looking at it wrong? Is Losi saying there is one degree per side stock for a total of 2 in the entire rear end?

Schuie- The car has 2 degrees of rear toe in per side. This is in the inner hinge pin mounts. The stock hub carriers are 0 degree. There are 1/2 and 1 degree hubs optional parts. So you can achieve 1 to 3 degrees toe in per side by using the hubs to either add aor subtract toe in. For instance 1/2 degree hubs on "backwards" will net you 1 1/2 degree per side. I hope that is clear for you.

I'm running at Delta right now.

Doesn't your motor get very hot with 5.88:1? I've change to 64 pitch so I'll have to get pinions. Thanks.

Hmmm... I didn't know Delta ran electric. I learn something new every day! The motor definitely gets warm, but I hate it when guys blow by me on the straightway! Delta is a lot tighter track than Castle, though, so you probably don't need to gear that low. Maybe start around 26T pinion (6.19:1) and go up a tooth at a time until your speed tops out on the back straight as you're letting off going into the turn.

Yeah they have electric and if you go for novice sometimes they run nitro and electric together when there isn't enough people.

Ok so just start out with what Losi recommended and go from there? Thanks.

Hey gang, if you are looking to dress up your car you should look into the stainless steel screw and wheel nuts for the XXX-S. They come in a nice container that you can use for other things as well. Stop by the website to check them out.

We are also stocking replacement and hopup parts for the XXX-S as well. If you can think of anything else we should add just drop me a pm or email.
