Just curious. My Evo4 came with 3 hole pistons, but madjack's came with 2 hole. What hole piston did everyone else get?

Mine has 3 holes in as well. This is the first car I have ran from Tamiya with 3 hole pistons. I have always ran 2 holes in my Tamiya shocks.

Hey guys I'm a little confused with some of the blocks. What does the X block do. I was led to believe that it would reduce toe by .5 degree increments. Is this true. And what about the blocks that come with the world kits (1X, etc.), what benefit over the stock blocks do they yield.
Next question. What pistions are you guys running for stock?

Dave, I know you like the squat bearings, but I'm confused about the wording of "racing dry full bearing set" does this mean that the bearings come dry and I need to add a drop of oil, or do they really run dry.

Also they have a bearing set that is called vibration full bearing set

do you know the differences between the 2?

i'm still contemplating on going with the Acer's or not and I
can't make up my mind

I think the vibration set are bearings that are actually small outter OD. You use a "plastic" ring around the bearing to make up the OD difference. Basically it's to lighten up the suspension with "less" bearing. Something that the EvoIV is already designed with in-mind. As for Dry Race... uhh maybe they come with no "packed" grease. I dunno.. just a guess.

Hi vic,

If you're ready to replace your bearings on the EVO IV, you might want to consider our ceramic bearing kit, or at least ceramic bearings in the wheel hub. When I put on the LW suspension kit on my TRF415, the stock 9x5mm were a bit sloppy, and also not as durable. I switched to our 9x5mm ceramics and it is a bit tighter in tolerance (so less slop) and I find them to be more durable (I'm still running the same 9x5mm that I put in till this day, and they are still smooth and no grittiness) For smaller size bearings like the 9x5mm, we actually suggest leaving the thicker grease in as that will really prolong the life of the bearing, and it will work itself free after a few runs

I would stay clear of the racing dry bearings unless you like to refresh your bearings every 3-5 packs.. they are really free but not worth it.. now a bearing that would really do the trick is Squats Gold Racing bearing... they make them for every size for the EVO4..but the 950 size.. and for that size you can get some of Steve`s Yokomo bearings... or any other brand of ceramic of the hubs
rcfiend has a EVO4 that has allof the Squat Gold Racing bearings in them... hit him up and ask hime how he likes them
