Sedona is about the same distance as the GC and the Red Rocks are spectacular, especially at sunset. I heartily recommend the Pink Jeep tour. Montezuma's castle Indian ruins are nearby too. There is a airplane museum near Flagstaff, google planes of fame I believe. If you're up for a bit more travel, there are the Painted Desert, the Petrified Forest, 4 Corners, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde, or Meteor Crater. All are near I-40 more or less. Have Fun.

Thanks for all the tips so far, keep em coming. Lonny your ideas sound good to me.
Pink Jeeps Ive been on 3 of there trips. I actually know one of there drivers an guy called Mark Paxton. He was our driver on 2 trips and have kept in touch with him over the years. Done red rock canyon.

Was hoping to see Cher but tickets are out of my price range, cheapest decent seats ive seen are $543 for 2.Will pass on that I think.

OK, so after some chatting with the boys, I got fired up for the IIC. Being the last one and all, I better show up. Last year was a little too much fun, but I showed up late for the party. I recall getting in early Tue morning and missed some of my practice. So should I show up on Monday the 6th, right? I see there is a poker tourny for Sunday the 5th, but I blow at poker, so I will skip that. I need to book rooms and flights for this fiasco. If I drift on in the evening of Monday the 6th and roll out Sunday the 12th.... I'll be safe, right? I want to be sure to leave room for Rewp's Post Race TQ Party (should that develop). I still don't look at M&M's the same way. And Scotty, you don't want some of us trolling the 17.5 12th scale classes, right? I've got to work on my mod skillz.... they're failing me lately.

Hey Brian it'll be good to see you there again this year. Me with my measly skillz will be down in the 17.5 class.

Thats the point of the race, get caught up with everyone! Shoot the breeze and do a little hard core racing. In Vegas no less. I've been nursing a silver can F-1 class with rubber tires all summer. Not exactly what I would need to polish any mod 12th timing. But oh well. I am sure that we can camp out TimezoneII and "refresh".

My buddy just went to Chers show, half price tickets had them for $63 a piece. Got them from the booth in front of the fashion mall.

Alright World Poker Tour hopefuls. The IIC Poker Tournament is on!

Sunday Sept 5th 6pm at the Riviera Poker area. Buy in will be $55, $40 to prize pool and $15 to the house. Payout will be dependent on the number of entries.

We need at least 30 players. Tournament is open to all IIC racers and immediate family members. and....... IIC Staff. Now you can play Boomer

It will be a great way to kick of the IIC. So start practicing and getting those poker faces ready. I know some of you guys are avid players so lets see who is the best poker player in the on road world of RC! I know Barry Baker and Mike Blackstock Rock! Charlie Suangka is the guy you LOVE to have at your table. he is easy money Lemieux used to be good at it, but I don't know if he still has it.

So it will be an awesome time. So if you are for sure going to play or your family that is going with you is going to play, Please email me at [email protected] so I can get a firm number for them.

Dont tell me your going to play and then not show up or not play. I am on the hook for this so we have to come through with enough players.
The pre registration online when you signed up for the IIC had 20 guys say they want to play so we should be good if you all show up.

So let the trash talking, who is ALL IN

Hi guys,

yes Mike, I am working to get it on the site. I hope to have it up soon. Teams are sending me their entries this week so we will have more names to add.

MIKEXRAY: No i am sorry, we do not have a concourse contest at the IIC.

Thanks
Scotty
