Hmmm...I found my DB12RR worked better on outdoor asphalt than my DB12R did. The new rear suspension geometry had better grip than the old. It was the switch from NiMh to LiPo that upset it the most but that was soon solved with a spring and oil change on the shock.

I agree with InspGadgt, RR was better than R on outdoor. CH12 has even more rear grip & steering than both RR & R.

We do alot of testing on asphalt. That is pretty much all we do in florida. We went after a little less rear traction and better overall rotation with the copperhead cars for high bite carpet. For the most part, gave the car a larger window for adjustment.. They do work much better but at the same time, still work great on asphalt.

Does the new front end respond to angle/flat servo configurations in the same manner as typical front ends?

Pretty much we have been running it angled to eliminate the bumpsteer. Being that 1/12th cars do not have a steering rack, you have a tendency to get bumpsteer with a flat servo.
