I mentioned just a bit ago that I had this happening at my last race, which just so happened to be at our local big track with a long straight leading into a fast sweeper.

My wheels took care of shaving my suspension arms for me...

Default CVD's

Sorry if it has been brought up before guys. What has been done to revise the front CVD's on the MI3? I was at the track last night and a guy (first run with the new car) running stock sheared the pins off the diff out drive end. He has done the mod with the shims to limit steering throw. I have heard the second production batch has resolved this issue.

Cheers
Andrew

Just have him call Schumacher and they can send out a new pair with the revised pins.

So are they just putting a different grade of pin in them? Is there any truth that the second batch of cars will have the revised shafts already in the kit?

I know PW was running a 3.5 turn LRP at Reedy and Alex was running the 3.5 Novak until he switched to 6 cell brushed with a 7 turn. No issues with belts, diffs, or anything. This car can handle any amount of power you can put in it.

Yes, there will be new pins (spring-steel) on both ends of the CVDs. We also added a flat spot on one pin for the grub-screw.

Wow, thats cool. I've gotten to the point where I'd gotten pretty darned good at adding my own flat spot. But havning it come standard is definitely better.

The new ones really sound great. Any way we could just send in the first batch ones and replace them before they break on us?

That won't be a problem, but we are looking a 2 weeks before we get the new ones in

The newest batch of kits have them already
