-Long arms have (3) holes on one side and (2) holes on the other to mount the shocks to
If you have the short arms. Use the widest shock mount hole and start with C-C blocks up front
If you have long arms use the middle hole on the (3) hole location side. And start with A-A blocks
XA-D or E in the rear, long camber links. Flat in the front and slightly angled in the rear, I already told you shock and spring set up. Start middle hole all around on shock towers. Medium sway bar front and soft in rear. Run a spool. I still like ball diffs. LTC-R body. Start 1-1/2 camber all around to start. If bite gets really high. Sauce rears for 15 minutes and fronts for have the time. If bite gets high sauce half the fronts. If the car still is edgy, glue the front side walls.
This should get you in the ball park. Good luck

Tested a ball diff tonight, MUCH better. What kind of droop are your running?

'Been running a spool with the plastic outdrives, they're worn and replacements are out of stock. Will the outdrives for the 417 fit? Suggestions? This is for 21.5 spec racing, so the lighter the better...

I am guessing Tamiya, as it passed tech at the last TCS Regional at Aliso. We had picked the car up used, but were assured it was 100% Tamiya.
Spool is plastic outdrive cups with aluminum sleeves over them if that helps.

Hey bud if that's the car you got from me everything on that car was Tamiya. Here is the part and the number for the outdrives. See if Sean at TQ can get it for you if not come see me at the Tamiya track I do have extra that I can sell it to you if you like.

Just a heads up that the Tamiya 51443 outdrives for the TRF417 will fit the TA05 spool with a slight mod because of a small pin offset variance.

Hi All,
I'm dusting off my TA-05V2 and planning to run it again, I have a few questions after poking around on the internet regarding this chassis:
1) I'm in Southern California, what's a good in-door and/or out-door track to run this on? Is the Tamiya track near Irvine still open?
2) I'm really interested in getting a carbon fiber/graphite chassis mainly for LiPos (I got rid of the NiMH batts long ago), does anyone know where I can get the EX05 chassis? Seems like it was discontinued long ago.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
