aftermarket spurs will not fit without the spur gear spacer - http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXZEU7&P=Z - but once you get one of these, anyone's spurs can be used

the stock gears are metric 48p gears..

The F104 Pro uses the 04 Tamiya spurs (0.4mm pitch), which are quite usable with 64p pinions. Some of the other kits use the 06 spurs (0.6mm pitch), which can only be used with Tamiya pinions (or equivalent 06 ones).

I've got the standard car, and I want to upgrade everything at the front end(turnbuckles, servo bits etc.) to pro spec. What are all the parts i need?

Thanks, what gearing would you recommend with "standard" 48P gears? Reason being is I have a bunch of 48P pinions and don't really want to invest in more Tamiya pinions.

hello team! i've just purchased f104 x1 kit (thanks alot rtypec!!) and i have a couple of questions for you guys..

-Is there any pinion in the kit or only spurs?
-Can i purchase pinions 48 pitch from other brands or only tamiya fit?
-Does the carbon lower deck f104 pro fits to f104 x1?

Please let me know because i want to order these also. can't wait to build it and go to the track...

Thanks in advance,

You will not get it by the weekend but RcMart have them in stock as do some of the HK based ebay shops.
http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/rc-f10...4-p-32658.html

Other option is to purchase part 3485036 which is the longer shaft used for the F103/F103GT. The flat cut outs for the 3mm grub screws are in the same positions on this part as the F104 shaft. You will need to cut around 16mm off the diff side end of the shaft with a hack saw to bring back to the length of the F104 shaft. Found a US store with stock.
