Hello Racers, we have this guy at are track flrccomplex.com running stock tamiya rubber on F104 stock. everthing on this car is loose. light oil soft spring, 1/4 front tire all rear sauce SXT3.0, no center o ring, gluded side walls have way up. car does 11.7 laps, nothing can touch it yet. They will work on the rug. i think it more radio setup than car. hope this helps. Ron H,

Sean has a lot of F1 tires and parts in stock at TQ racing

hey bro.....you mixed up the model#
0575 - rear
0577 - front

i really don't like the rear 0575 comes with a thin foam insert, it makes the tire doesn't balance well when in pressure.

Tamiya's insert for the rear is the ticket where we run, TQ carpet.

aussiedude,
I believe that is how they are running them now on asphalt too but the info that I passed on to you came from the guys at the carpet track racing BUT,
those same guys are running on the asphalt and should be the ones to tell you how they do on the "street".

Lightfoot, Redbull, smracer, jettatunerdude and several others could all better guide you on that.

I personally still run the F103 on the carpet due to the fact that I have not dropped the $ for the set of Shimizus that I want for the 104 and I just plain dig the F103, always have.

The only place that I have had good results with the F104 on asphalt and rubber has been at the Tamiya Nationals this year and that is only because that was the only chassis and tire selection allowed.

Again, given the choice I'll roll with the 103 on foams.

thanks for that marco. as odd as that diagram looks i gotta ask, does the outside of the tire glue to the outside of the rim not ontop?

Smile F1 Racing

Hi , I am currently racing both the F104 and the F10 I like them both. The F104 is the pro version with some upgrades using Tamiya , Ride , and Shimizu rubber tires , and the F10 upgraded with the Exotek chassis and battery (1/18th 1800Mah 30C) upgrade. I am racing indoor mainly at the Colesium in Frederick,MD and sometimes at The Track in Gaithersburg,MD and have the cars working well. Of the different cars I have F1 is the car I like to race every week , lots of fun come out a play.

thanks, i already have shimizu 0575 rears, but i also have the 0571 (soft) fronts, and the 0573 (med) fronts. do you know how the soft and med act on the carpet? i would think that hard fronts on carpet would push.

Yo Dave,

Don't think Charlie's review covers the Tamiya insert in the Pit Shimz rears.

Got any input on how they work on the blacktop?
I know they are the bomb for carpet but street?

Charles? Whatdya say?
