Maybe shorten the links to middle hole if you arent already and go lower in the rear roll center to med low if you dont wanna lower your front RS.
Thanks Larry,

That makes sense, will go with the lower roll centres / shorter links.

Hey guys

So i went the a state title event here in oz last weekend with the photon in rubber 17.5. i was amazed at how many of these cars have popped up since november last year when i travelled to the sasme track. last year i was the only one to run one, this year i counted six at least.

car was dialed, i managed to come 15th out of 33 drivers which in a field of the quality it was i was really happy with. First qualifier i broke my first outdrive hex in the spool. many of you have done this however when i built the kit initially 12 months ago i used the v.1 spool. even though the updated one was in my kit. that means it lasted 12 months of pretty solid racing. i gather the v.2 spool was made a bit stronger in which case it should last me years.

so i thought i would drop a line on here to say awesome car top. built well, strong and a really easy car to drive. pity i couldn't put it in the a's but that is all driver not car.

won't be straying from this car for quite some time i wouldn't think.

Do the new lipo mounts fit the old chassis or only the updated one?

Can someone tell me which version of the steel dogbones are 46mm? V2 or V3? Or which part number I need for 46mm steel dogbones?

While cleaning my shock bladders in the sink, I accidentally dropped 2 of them down the drain. Anyone tried to run these shocks without bladders, if so, how did they perform?

Default steering chatter

Hi,

Been reading thru the thread, and it seems that not many of you are experiencing steering chatter.

well... i have steering chatter that is quite bad on my photon. I am using the steel bones with the roche solid axle.

i understand that chatter is a characteristic of running solid axles in the front... but can anyone tell me how to (if possible) reduce the chatter?

thanks in advance

sam

mine chattered quite a bit. After cleaning and lubing the joint with black grease, I have zero chatter. The only downside is you do have to clean and lube the joint frequently. Small price to pay for absolutely zero chatter though.
