Is there any way to either fix warp'd rims or stop rims from warping?

I run foams and the foam lasts alot longer then the rims do. Warping is a problem I've found with TRC and fast tyre rims(even the mtx3 rims). I'm willing to switch to rubbers to get rid of the warping problem if there are no stiff foam rims.

I run a C4 and if the rims warp even a little they rub on the hubs(I've already filed them down as much as possible). What company makes rims that don't warp and are stiff as all hell. I don't care if the rims break easily since I don't crash too much and you can just boil off the rubbers and re-use them. I'm sick of having the rims rubbing and creating drag.

didnt think foam rims warped by themselves. maybe those odd times you hit something the rims were warped.

i had a C4 all rims (except for the good ol inchups) rubbed on the hubs.

why dont you get a new car? x-ray hubs dont rub on any rim.

CRC has a rim (for foam) that is exactly what you're looking. Very stiff and durable. It is a yellow 5 spoke though, not a white dish.

dontfeelcold - Yes I should have said, too much any more, I've had the rims for a few months and I crashed a fair bit when I first got them. I'm saving up for a Corally Assassin. Inch-ups, when I run rubbers. Thanks.

johnnywhopper - Thanks, they look good but they don't have them in soft enough compounds, also their 28mm not 26mm.

Try JACOS, The rims are very good. Also they have a good range of compounds. In 26 and 28mm.

26mm in spokes(not as strong)
28mm in dish the strongest(i always buy 28mm and trim to suite what ever car i run.

Have you tried Sorex rims? they are the stiffest ones I've found

I think the ofna dish rims are pretty strong, and at 8 bucks/8 pack they're a very good deal. I mounted my sorex on there and the tires wear off before the rims warped.

Thanks for the help guys, I think I'll take the foams I have off the rims and mount them on white 24mm ofna foam rims and hope for the best.

Speed Mind foam tire work well with C4 and Serpent Impulse.

To solve the front rims fitting issue on the C4, you can replace the Serpent steering block with XRay steering blocks.

The down side of this conversion is that you need to replace all the steering block parts with XRay Evo2 Freedom of choice steering block parts.

Wow that is cool! very clean intallation. It would get rid of the hugh amount of play my C4 has in the front end too. The speedmind rims have a heap of space.
